How do I create and manage discount coupons for my store?

This guide walks you through the process of creating single or multiple discount coupons, with optional conditions like free shipping, order amount limits, visibility settings, and more using the Shopaccino admin panel.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Access the Coupon Creation Panel

  • Login to your Shopaccino Admin open Panel.
  • Go to Coupons & Offers from the left-hand menu.
  • Click on Add Coupon at the top-right.

Choose Coupon Type

  1. Select one of the following options:
    • Generate One Coupon Code
    • Generate Multiple Coupon Codes – Create unique codes in bulk.

Choose Coupon Purpose

  1. Under Coupon Applicable, choose:
    • Discount on Order Value – Provide a price or percentage discount.
    • For Free Shipping – Offer free shipping with a coupon application.

Set Coupon Code(s)

  • If you selected Generate One Coupon Code:
    • Enter your custom code manually under Enter Coupon Code, or click Generate Code to auto-generate one.
  • If you selected Generate Multiple Coupon Codes:
    • Enter the number of coupon codes you want to create under No. of Coupon Code.

Define Usage Limits

  • Set how many times this code can be used in the Usage Limit.
  • If there’s no limit, tick the No Limit checkbox.

Configure Discount Details

(Only for the “Discount on Order Value” option)

  1. Under Discount Value:
    • Choose discount type: INR (fixed value) or % (percentage).
    • Enter the discount amount or percent.
  2. Enter On Order Amount Over – Minimum order value required for coupon to apply.
  3. Set Start Date and Expiry Date along with time.

Set Additional Conditions

  1. Under Coupon Applicability, choose one:
    • Not restricted for user account
    • Applicable only at first order of registered customer
    • Allowed once for registered customer
  2. From Applicable For, select:
    • Retail Customer
    • Wholesale Customer
    • Both
  3. From Redemption Allowed On, select:
    • Mobile App, Website, or Both
  4. From Product Applicable For, choose:
    • All Products
    • Exclude Discount Products
    • Exclude Non-Discount Products
  5. Select:
    • Categories for which the coupon will be valid
    • Payment Modes applicable
    • Shipping Zones the coupon should apply to

Set Visibility Settings

  • Tick Do you want this coupon to be publicly visible?
    • If yes, select where to show it:
      • Visible on Website
      • Visible on the Checkout Page
      • Visible on Product Page
  • Note:
    If visibility is not enabled, the coupon will remain private and must be manually shared via email, SMS, or other means.

Add Descriptive Info

  • Coupon Title – Internal title (e.g., “WELCOME10 – 10% Off”)
  • Short Description – Shown on site if visible
  • Terms & Conditions – Any important notes or disclaimers
  • Remarks – Internal notes (not shown on the website)
  • Sort Order – To control display order if visible

Save the Coupon

  • Click Save to create your coupon and make it active based on the settings configured.
  • Your discount coupon is now created and ready for use based on the triggers and visibility settings you've applied.
